I offer individual therapy for adults ages 21+ in Washington State

Sometimes life happens and it doesn't feel good. Symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, or grief might take over, and what used to feel okay begins to feel out of control. If you feel overwhelmed, confused, alone, or isolated in your thoughts or feelings, seeking counseling is a courageous and kind step towards groundedness, relief, and ultimately healing.

Let's Collaborate

I believe that counseling is a highly relational process. In the world of therapy I might call my personal style "eclectic". This means that in my work I use a variety of different techniques and methodologies.

Most frequently, I tend to utilize tools and thinking from relational psychodynamic therapy, internal family systems, and feminist narrative therapy. I am really interested in your narrative, or your story. I'm interested not only in the content of your story, but also in the way it's told. I believe that our past experiences matter, and sometimes they really show up and impact our current experiences in life. Other tools I like to use come largely from practices of polyvagal theory, body-based sensorimotor psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral, and client-centered therapy.

The Bottom Line

As we get to know each other, we will work collaboratively in a way that makes sense for us, and the relationship that we build. We'll seek to discover what works and adjust what doesn't. It is my deepest hope that throughout the process of counseling we will create an environment that nurtures your sense of connectedness, kindness, and compassion for yourself.
